Craig Hamer

Craig is the Chief Operating Officer of IRT Group. IRT Group is a community based organisation providing lifestyle, care, in home care and housing for around 9,000 seniors and employing 2,200 staff. Craig commenced his career at a teaching hospital in Sydney, and during this time completed a Bachelor of Health Administration. He was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of 5 rural hospitals and community health services in New South Wales in the early 1980s to mid 1990s. Craig was appointed to IRT in 1996 as Regional Manager South and then appointed as Chief Operating Officer in 2006. Craig has responsibility for a team of around 2,000 staff who provide the care and support for IRT residents in Lifestyle Communities, Care Centres and clients receiving In-Home Care services. On Craig’s recommendation IRT agreed to be a foundation sponsor of PASCOP. Craig has watched PASCOP grow and develop to be an effective organisation and have noted with interest the recent funding opportunity enhancing the strategic direction of PASCOP.
