Dr Haley La Monica

Dr Haley LaMonica is a Board Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist with the Healthy Brain Ageing Team at the Brain and Mind Centre, The University of Sydney. She has completed undergraduate and master’s degrees in psychology, a Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a specialization in clinical neuropsychology, and a post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsycholoy.  She has considerable clinical expertise in the areas of adult neurology and psychopathology, with a particular emphasis on the differential diagnosis of dementia. She has worked extensively with older adults and their families regarding methods for preventing or delaying cognitive decline as well as in relation to the management of dementia after a diagnosis has been made. At present, Dr LaMonica overseas the management of the Healthy Brain Ageing Clinic, a specialty clinic for older adults with concerns about their cognition or mood. She is also heavily involved in the clinical supervision and training of clinical neuropsychology students.

Dr Haley will participate in the Healthy Ageing Panel, facilitated by Dr Norman Swan, in Plenary 3 on Tuesday
