Emma Lingius

Emma graduated from Curtin University with a double degree in Primary Education and Diverse Abilities. During university Emma began working in the Residential Aged Care sector in range of roles from hospitality, assistant in nursing and diversional therapy. It was here Emma became passionate about the care and dignity of the elderly population and recognised she had found her niche. Following a relocation to QLD in 2010, Emma has stayed true to her calling of supporting the elderly, and since commencing with the Seasons group in 2010 has worked in various community based roles, working her way to becoming a senior manager and now as the Group Executive Officer. Emma has provided not only an innovated perspective to the information technology side of the business, but was instrumental in leading the transition of a new IT platform which provides increased support services in house, streamlining software applications and hardware. As well as continuing to ensure the diversity of our digital transformation, change management and technology innovation, which continues to drive Seasons and Envigor to become a leader in the field, but is also changing the face of the aged care sector itself.

Emma will present The Baby in the Boardroom.

With Gen Y and the Millennials dominating the workforce what are we doing in Aged Care to appeal to the younger generations? How do we make graduates realise the endless opportunities available and accessible in our sector above and beyond clinical jurisdictions? And then, once they are in the Aged Care industry, how do we retain, engage and encourage professional growth? It is hugely rewarding to foster young talent, and when managed properly our younger generations flourish and lead organisational change.
