Kristin will be presenting Creating flexible work arrangements in an inflexible industrial relations framework
Flexibility in employment arrangements is key to remaining competitive in light of the rise of CDC. However, the flexibility that providers are required to provide clients can be difficult to reconcile with the fairly inflexible industrial relations framework that they are required to operate within. Many providers will be looking at ways to create a more flexible workforce which could lead to redundancies, an increase in casualisation of the workforce and/or the adoption of more “creative” engagement methods.
By attending this session, providers will gain:
- a better understanding of the flexibilities that can (and can’t) obtained under current labour laws; and
- insight into any legislative changes on the horizon that may impact the engagement of staff.
