Biography:
Julianne Parkinson was appointed CEO of the GCMA in April 2018.Previously, Julianne was an Executive Director of the South Australian Government on economic and social issues and initiatives. It was in this role that Julianne was a key leader in the creation of the Ageing Well program of work. The aim of the program was to increase awareness of the facts related to the global ageing phenomenon in order to assist shifting mindsets to better understand the opportunity and challenges associated with ageing.
With more than 25 years’ experience in leadership roles, including KPMG, EY and the South Australian Government, Julianne specialises in strategic planning, business sector development and stakeholder engagement.
Julianne has worked extensively with clients operating in government, corporate and private sectors and undertaken engagements across Australia and the South-East Asia region.
Julianne is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of South Australia (UniSA) and is an Advisory Board Member on the UniSA Post Graduate Advisory Board and Business School Advisory Board.
