Topic: Progressing Future Home Care Reforms in 2020-21: A Continuing Conversation

Day: Thursday 15 October 2020

Time: 10:30am – 11:00am AEDT

Abstract:

The intent of the Home Care Package (HCP) Program is to support senior Australians to optimise health and wellbeing in accordance with their needs, goals and preferences. The rise of consumer directed care has led to ‘grey’ areas around what sort of services and supports can be obtained from a HCP. This session proposes a set of screening questions to assist providers and consumers manage the HCP budget within the scope of the program and care plan.

Session is presented by Jane Floyd, Home Care Specialist at LASA and a representative from the Home Care Policy Section of the Department of Health.
