Topic: The future of smart monitoring – lessons from the Intelicare project during the global pandemic

Day: Thursday 15 October

Time:  3:30pm-4:00pm AEDT

Abstract:

Intelicare is an in-home monitoring system developed by a local WA start-up to help clients stay safe and healthy in their own homes for longer. In 2019 ECHO Community Services won a CHSP Innovation Grant from the Australian Department of Health to run a trial of the Intelicare system. The project involved 75 ECHO clients and families, using the system in their homes and providing feedback. Like everything else, the project was impacted by the global pandemic, which presented some challenges as well as some opportunities. This joint presentation by ECHO and Intelicare will share the lessons learned on both sides, and provide some insights and thoughts for the future possibilities for in-home care.
